FAISAL ARSHAD

Faisal Arshad is a practicing architect/ academician from Islamabad with 21 years of profound experience. His diversely work experience is in the field of consultancy, teaching & research, professional advocacy & building product industry patronage.

 

He has worked internationally with one of the Middle East’s largest developer and the award winning multinational group. His international portfolio includes projects such as Meydan Horse Race Course Dubai, one of the world’s most complex and integrated structures (Grandstand, Museum & Hotel), New  GHQ  Complex – Master Plan of E10 & D11 Islamabad, Salam Golf Resort at Yiti Oman & Bouregreg Mix Use Development, Rabat Morocco. In 2009, he moved back to Pakistan and founded FA+P.

 

He entered into the field of academics with his services at the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi. Currently he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, Comsats Islamabad. He is the Co-founder of Tabeer e Nau, a community research program of arts, architecture & design leading to a social enterprise with its ongoing pilot project in Gulmit – Gojal Valley, Upper Hunza.

Faisal Arshad has been an active member of Institute of Architects Pakistan and previously, has served the organization in the capacity of Hon. Secretary & Vice Chairman of the local chapter. His chaired as the Chairman (Elect) 2018-19 of Rawalpindi/ Islamabad Chapter. During his tenure, the chapter successfully hosted the Design Excellence Awards in Islamabad for the first time in the history of IAP

He is the recipient of IAP Recognition Award 2011 conferred to 50 most prominent Architects of Pakistan.In 2015, he was inducted as an International Affiliate at the American Institute of Architects.

In 2020, Ministry of Foreign Affairs inducted him for three years as a Member of Public & Cultural Diplomacy Group chaired by the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs.
